Bringing contemporary art into ancient Iranian architecture
In the fifth part of the retro-futurism project, the contemporary art of the world is combined with ancient Iranian architecture. Combining today’s object with the old subject gives us a different mindset from the past and the present. All over the world, heritage Sites are a red line of development, change, and any interference. The project has a critical look as well as an onslaught of monuments that are getting older. In this collection, the works of artists such as Anish Kapoor, Richard Serra, Bernard Venet, Jeff Koons and … are combined with famous Iranian sites (including UNESCO World Heritage Site). In today’s Iran, we need a critical look at architecture so that we can critique the legacy of the past and break the taboo.
